Yes. They do.
And I do not.
But that has never caused me to fear loving mortals.
Even if the loss is inevitable.
Even if it breaks my heart every time.
It's worth it for what comes before.

And loving another immortal won't keep me from that pain.
I've outlived countless number of my 'kin'.

In a desert oasis in what would be called Egypt, yes.
My family lived there for many years before the oasis dried up.
